Lamb of God Lutheran Church, Gampaha
The study of God’s Word is the foremost characteristic of Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Gampaha. From youngest to oldest, the Holy Spirit brings Pastor Fernando’s love for the Gospel of Christ to root in every member. From the several hours spent teaching the children of the congregation and community each Saturday (in English as well as Sinhala), to the daily classes open to all, there is an opportunity for everyone to grow in his knowledge of God’s Word and to prepare through such study for the reception of Christ’s Body and Blood each Sunday in the Divine Service.
With this emphasis of the Word of Christ dwelling in us richly, Pastor Fernando also serves as the president of our church body, coordinating educational conferences for all of our pastors in conjunction with the Confessional Lutheran Education Foundation, as well as assisting a seminary student in preparing for the Office of the Holy Ministry.
